Privacy policy

What we receive, what happens to a call, the one frame a report captures, and how long any of it lives.

Effective

The short version

  • Calls are not recorded. There is no archive and no playback, on either side.
  • Starting a match needs no account, no email and no phone number.
  • Filing a report captures one still frame from that call and sends it to a human. That is the only time an image from a call is stored on our side.
  • The 18+ confirmation is a flag written on your own device. It never reaches us.

The rest of this page is the same thing said precisely. If anything below contradicts a claim made elsewhere on this site, this page is the one to trust — and tell us, because the other page is wrong and we will fix it.

What arrives before you press start

Your browser sends things simply by connecting, the way it does to any website. We receive your IP address, a rough location worked out from it, your browser and device type, and server log entries recording when you accessed what.

None of that is optional and none of it is a choice we made about you specifically — it is what makes a page load, routes a video call to the right place, and lets us tell a person from a script hammering the service. It is also what we would look at if someone were attacking the site.

The age confirmation works differently and it is worth being clear about: when you confirm you are 18 or over, a single flag is written into your browser's local storage, on your device. It is not transmitted to us, not attached to any identity, and clearing your browser data erases it. See the cookie policy for what else lives in that storage.

What happens during a call

A call runs directly between two people and ends the moment either side leaves. It is not recorded. There is no history page, no archive, nothing to replay — not for you, not for the other person, and not for us. Nobody here watches calls, and a call is never shown to anyone outside the two people in it.

What no policy can control is the other person. Someone can point a second phone at their own screen, or run software that has nothing to do with this site. We cannot detect that and we will not pretend otherwise. Decide what you show a stranger on the assumption that a stranger could capture it.

Leaving takes one tap and needs no reason. That is deliberate: a format like this only works if walking away is free.

When you report someone

The report control sits on the call screen the entire time, not buried in a settings menu. Using it captures one still frame from that call and sends it, along with whatever you write, to a human moderator.

That frame is the single exception to everything in the section above. It exists because a moderator shown nothing can act on nothing — a report with no evidence is a report that cannot be enforced.

Who sees it
A human moderator. Reports are read by a person, not sorted by a filter alone.
How fast
Reports reach a human within 24 hours.
What it is used for
Reviewing that specific report. It is not published, not shown to other users, and not used for advertising or to train anything.
How long it lives
It is deleted when the case is closed. There is no fixed window because there is no reason to keep it past the decision.

If you choose to make an account or pay

Neither is required to use the service, and this section only applies if you do one of them. An account adds whatever you give it — typically an email address and a sign-in method. Paying involves a payment processor, and card details go to that processor, not to us; we see that a payment succeeded, not the card behind it.

We have deliberately not listed a processor by name here, because naming the wrong one is worse than naming none. If you need to know who handles a specific payment before you make it, ask us and you will get a straight answer.

How long each thing lives

Connection and server logs
Kept for a short operational window for security and abuse investigation, then discarded.
A frame captured by a report
Until that report is decided, then deleted.
Account information
For as long as the account exists. Deleted or anonymised after it is closed, unless a legal obligation requires otherwise.
Ban records
For as long as the ban is in force. A ban you could erase by clearing your browser would not be a ban.
The 18+ flag
On your device until you clear your browser data. It is not ours to delete.

Who else touches any of this

Infrastructure providers that host the service and carry the video, and a payment processor if you pay. They handle data to provide those functions and for nothing else.

One more: Google Analytics measures page traffic in aggregate — how many people opened what, whether something is broken. It sees pages, not calls, and there is nothing inside a call for it to see. The cookie policy has the detail and the opt-out link.

We do not sell personal information and we do not hand call content to advertisers, because there is no call content to hand over. Where the law compels disclosure through a valid legal process, we comply with what is actually compelled — not more.

What you can ask us to do

Depending on where you live you may have the right to ask what we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, or to object to certain processing. Write to [email protected] and say what you want; you will get a real answer rather than a form.

One practical note: because starting a match requires no account, there is often nothing tied to you to look up. That is a feature, but it does mean a request may need something to identify the session in question before anyone can act on it.

Nobody under 18

This is an adults-only service. We do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 18, and an account or session belonging to a minor is removed when we learn of it. If you believe a minor is using this service, report it in the call or write to us immediately — see child safety for how that is handled.

Changes, and reaching a person

If the product changes in a way that affects any statement above, this page changes in the same release — not afterwards. Questions, complaints, or a request under the section above: [email protected].

Written to be checked against the product, not to be skimmed. If a claim here does not match what the service actually does, that is a bug and we want to hear about it.
